{"id":9127,"date":"2026-08-03T09:12:18","date_gmt":"2026-08-03T09:12:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/paksouch.com\/?p=9127"},"modified":"2026-08-03T09:12:19","modified_gmt":"2026-08-03T09:12:19","slug":"khawaja-asif-calls-mohsin-naqvi-the-most-powerful-minister-in-the-government","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/paksouch.com\/?p=9127","title":{"rendered":"Khawaja Asif Calls Mohsin Naqvi the \u2018Most Powerful Minister\u2019 in the Government"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>ISLAMABAD:<\/strong> Defence Minister <strong>Khawaja Asif<\/strong> has said that <strong>Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi<\/strong> is the most powerful minister in the current government and claimed that, in several matters, he is not accountable even to the Prime Minister.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Speaking on the television programme <strong>Naya Pakistan<\/strong>, Khawaja Asif said Mohsin Naqvi, despite serving as Interior Minister, does not function as a regular part of the cabinet system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;I have only seen him at two or three cabinet meetings,&#8221; Khawaja Asif said, adding that Naqvi has had limited participation in cabinet affairs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Defence Minister also commented on the Interior Minister&#8217;s attendance in Parliament, claiming that Mohsin Naqvi has appeared in the legislature only <strong>seven or eight times<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Referring to recent remarks by the Interior Minister, Khawaja Asif said that if someone in Mohsin Naqvi&#8217;s position is expressing complaints about the system, then &#8220;perhaps we should all go home.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The comments come amid continuing public discussion over governance and the functioning of the federal cabinet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the time of reporting, <strong>Mohsin Naqvi had not publicly responded<\/strong> to Khawaja Asif&#8217;s remarks.
