Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi held a telephone conversation with Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, during which the two discussed the latest developments in the region.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Iran\u2019s state news agency, Foreign Minister Araghchi also held separate telephone conversations with the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia and T\u00fcrkiye to discuss the evolving regional situation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the discussions, Araghchi stated that the United States should refrain from any military adventurism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He further warned that any act of aggression by the United States or Israel would receive a decisive response.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He also said that if any regional countries participated in such aggression, Iran would respond firmly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump said \u200blate on Saturday he would hold off on a fresh attack on Iran as long as a deal could be reached quickly to halt Iran\u2019s nuclear \u200cambitions and reopen the Strait of Hormuz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Iran and \u201cother Middle Eastern Countries\u201d asked for a time to complete a deal that would lead to \u201cthe Immediate, Complete and Total\u201d reopening of the Strait and \u201can end to Iran\u2019s nuclear threat,\u201d Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform. \u201cBased on this request, I have agreed, for the future benefit of the WORLD and, likewise, the survival of a successful and prosperous Iran, to cancel the attack, subject \u200bto being able to rapidly make a DEAL.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Israel \u201cjoins me in this commitment,\u201d Trump wrote. Israel did not immediately make a public statement on the issue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Iran warned the U.S. this \u200bweekend against any \u201cadventurous action\u201d and said it would retaliate decisively if American forces followed through on Trump\u2019s threats of fresh attacks on Iranian targets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
