Islamabad Traffic Police on Sunday warned citizens of a new online scam involving fake e-challan alerts being used to target residents of the federal capital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In a statement shared on social media platform X, the police said fraudulent SMS and WhatsApp messages claiming to be related to traffic violations are circulating with suspicious links.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The authorities warned that clicking on these links could redirect users to fake websites designed to steal personal information, banking details and other sensitive data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Islamabad Traffic Police advised citizens not to open any unverified links, share personal or financial information, and verify all e-challan notifications only through official channels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
