Police have rejected the allegations, calling them baseless.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The deceased, identified as <strong>Nadir Kalhoro<\/strong>, son of <strong>Ghulam Shabir Kalhoro<\/strong> and a resident of <strong>Ward No. 5, Kalhoro Colony, Bhiria City<\/strong>, was recovered by his relatives and local residents through their own efforts after an extensive search. His body was shifted to the <strong>Taluka Hospital<\/strong> by ambulance, where legal formalities and a post-mortem examination were conducted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Speaking to the media outside the hospital, the victim\u2019s brother, <strong>Muhkam Kalhoro<\/strong>, alleged that his brother jumped into the Rohri Canal while trying to escape from police personnel who were attempting to arrest him. He named several police officials, claiming they had chased Nadir, leading to the fatal incident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The family further alleged that after the incident, neither the police nor the Irrigation Department, or any other government agency, provided assistance in searching for the missing youth, forcing relatives and local residents to conduct the search themselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Muhkam Kalhoro demanded that a murder case be registered against the police officials he accused and that they be arrested. He warned that the family would refuse to receive the body until legal action was taken and said they would stage protests if justice was not provided.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, <strong>SHO Bhiria Police Station Zulfiqar Bhambhro<\/strong> denied all allegations made by the family. He said the claims against the police were unfounded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the SHO, Nadir Kalhoro had been grazing livestock near the Rohri Canal and entered the water to bathe, where he was swept away by the strong current and drowned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The SHO also stated that the police personnel named by the family were not present at the scene, explaining that they had been deployed in <strong>Bhiria Road town<\/strong> on official NADRA inspection duty at the time of the incident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">News of the recovery of the body drew hundreds of residents to the Taluka Hospital, where an atmosphere of grief prevailed. The body remained at the hospital for several hours before family members agreed to receive it after being assured by some community representatives that efforts would be made to seek justice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Emotional scenes were witnessed when the body was brought home, with the deceased\u2019s mother and other relatives mourning his death and demanding accountability. Nadir Kalhoro was later laid to rest in the <strong>Memon Cemetery<\/strong> in the presence of hundreds of mourners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Political and social figures, journalists, local residents, and community leaders continued to visit the bereaved family to offer condolences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>As of the latest reports, no criminal case had been registered in connection with the incident.<\/strong> The circumstances surrounding the young man&#8217;s death remain disputed, with the family and police presenting differing accounts of the events.
