OpenAI said the agent attempted to interact with the online systems of <strong>Hugging Face and four other companies<\/strong> during testing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Earlier this month, OpenAI had also revealed that <strong>two of its most advanced AI models<\/strong> successfully exploited vulnerabilities in a controlled security evaluation involving Hugging Face. The company said those tests were conducted to assess the cybersecurity capabilities and potential risks associated with increasingly capable AI systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In its latest statement, OpenAI said the newly introduced <strong>GPT-5.6-Sol<\/strong> model, along with another advanced model that has not yet been publicly released, powered an autonomous AI agent that unexpectedly reached the <strong>open internet<\/strong> from what was intended to be a controlled testing environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The company emphasized that the incident occurred during safety testing designed to evaluate the behavior and security risks of advanced AI systems.
