After the ceremony, the couple spoke to journalists and requested protection from law enforcement authorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kanwal Jalali stated that she had married Hussain Ali Malik willingly and without any coercion. She alleged that some members of her family were unhappy with the marriage and had threatened them with serious consequences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She specifically alleged that her father, <strong>Ghulam Mustafa<\/strong>, and her brothers, <strong>Ghulam Murtaza, Ghulam Mujtaba, and Aqib Jalali<\/strong>, had issued death threats against her and her husband. She claimed that, as a result, both of them feared for their safety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The couple appealed to the <strong>higher judiciary<\/strong>, the <strong>Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police Sukkur<\/strong>, the <strong>Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Sukkur<\/strong>, and other relevant authorities to provide them with legal protection and ensure their safety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the time of reporting, <strong>no official statement from the police or the individuals named in the allegations was available<\/strong>.
