Since the structure will pass over the motorway, the Sindh Local Government Department has initiated the process of obtaining a <strong>No Objection Certificate (NOC)<\/strong> from the <strong>National Highway Authority (NHA)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The planned flyover will connect <strong>Jinnah Avenue, Malir Cantt Road, Hyderabad-bound traffic, and Sohrab Goth Sabzi Mandi<\/strong>, providing a direct route for commuters. The project is expected to eliminate the need for long U-turns on both sides of the motorway, reducing travel time and easing traffic flow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The estimated cost of the project is <strong>Rs2.30 billion<\/strong>, which also includes the <strong>rehabilitation and beautification of Jinnah Avenue<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Another major project involves the construction of a <strong>flyover at the intersection connecting Abu Al Hasan Isphahani Road with Al-Asif Square on the motorway<\/strong>. The project carries an estimated cost of <strong>Rs2.10 billion<\/strong>, and construction is scheduled to begin in <strong>August<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Officials said this flyover will facilitate smoother movement for traffic approaching the intersection from all directions, helping to reduce congestion in one of Karachi&#8217;s busiest areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A third key project focuses on the <strong>Hawksbay Road corridor<\/strong>, covering the <strong>8.5-kilometre stretch from Y Junction to Machhli Chowk<\/strong>, along with the <strong>left-side road leading to Kakapir<\/strong>. The total estimated cost of this road development project is <strong>Rs4.162 billion<\/strong>, and construction is also expected to commence in August.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The road upgrades are intended to improve connectivity to the city&#8217;s coastal areas, enhance traffic capacity, and provide safer and more efficient travel for residents and commercial vehicles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition to these projects, the Sindh government is preparing to begin work on the <strong>Malir Halt Underpass<\/strong>, another important infrastructure scheme aimed at reducing traffic bottlenecks in the area. Authorities have indicated that construction on this project will start soon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The provincial government says these initiatives form part of a broader strategy to modernize Karachi&#8217;s transport infrastructure, improve mobility, and support the city&#8217;s growing traffic demands.
