SUKKUR:<\/strong> Newly appointed Municipal Commissioner of Sukkur Municipal Corporation (SMC), Khalid Hussain Jatoi<\/strong>, formally assumed his responsibilities on Tuesday and held an introductory meeting with officers and staff, who welcomed him and expressed their best wishes for his tenure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The meeting focused on the corporation’s administrative, municipal and office affairs, as well as future priorities aimed at improving civic services. Participants discussed measures to enhance institutional performance and ensure efficient delivery of public services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The meeting was attended by Senior Adviser to the Mayor of Sukkur Abid Ali Ansari<\/strong>, Executive Engineer Nauman Kalhoro<\/strong>, OS Islamuddin Sheikh<\/strong>, along with officers and staff from various departments. They assured the new Municipal Commissioner of their full cooperation in carrying out his responsibilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Discussions covered a wide range of civic and administrative matters, including the provision of timely and quality municipal services, strengthening institutional discipline, improving coordination among departments, sanitation and cleanliness, anti-encroachment operations, revenue-related issues and the progress of ongoing development projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Addressing the participants, Khalid Hussain Jatoi<\/strong> said that the Sukkur Municipal Corporation is a public service institution whose performance can only be improved through teamwork, transparency, professionalism and a strong sense of responsibility among officers and employees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He said his top priorities would be to ensure better civic facilities for residents, resolve public issues promptly and further improve the overall performance of the municipal corporation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Participants expressed confidence that Jatoi would utilise his administrative experience and professional expertise to strengthen the corporation’s functioning and enhance municipal services for the people of Sukkur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Khalid Hussain Jatoi has previously served as Director of Taxes and Anti-Encroachment<\/strong> at the Sukkur Municipal Corporation, where he played an active role in managing administrative and municipal affairs.
