Sukkur:<\/strong> A reconciliation delegation visited Piruz Lak village<\/strong> near Sagyoon<\/strong> in an effort to resolve a 13-year-old blood feud<\/strong> between two branches of the Lak community<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The delegation, representing the group led by Sabz Ali Lak<\/strong>, met members of the opposing faction headed by Amanullah Lak<\/strong> and Wakeel Ahmed Lak<\/strong>, seeking an amicable settlement to the long-running dispute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to local sources, the feud began around 13 years ago<\/strong> after the killing of Singar Ali Lak<\/strong>, a member of the Sabz Ali Lak group. In what was described as a retaliatory attack, Piruz Ahmed Lak<\/strong> from the Amanullah Lak faction was later killed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About a month ago, a court reportedly delivered its verdict in the murder case of Piruz Ahmed Lak. According to those present, three convicts\u2014Sabz Ali Lak, Saddam Hussain Lak, and Mehar Ali Lak\u2014were sentenced to death<\/strong>, while Mehdi Hassan Lak, Sajan Ali Lak, and Riaz Hussain Lak<\/strong> were each sentenced to life imprisonment<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following the verdict, prominent elders and community leaders launched efforts to bring the rival families together. A reconciliation caravan, carrying a copy of the Holy Quran<\/strong> and accompanied by Syeds, tribal elders, and hundreds of community members<\/strong>, travelled to the residence of the Amanullah Lak faction to seek forgiveness and promote peace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The delegation was led by Wadero Noor Ahmed alias Piyaro Lak<\/strong>, Ali Haider Kharl<\/strong>, Syed Ahmed Shah<\/strong>, Syed Juman Shah<\/strong>, Syed Agha Sajjad Ali Shah<\/strong>, Seth Bashir Ahmed Channa<\/strong>, Haji Abdul Ghafoor Memonani<\/strong>, Hamza Ali Bhagat<\/strong>, Abdul Waheed Lak<\/strong>, Gulab Ali Sial<\/strong>, Mazhar Ali Mangnejo<\/strong>, and other respected local figures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking on behalf of the host family, Wakeel Ahmed Lak<\/strong> and Hadi Bakhsh Lak<\/strong> welcomed the delegation and expressed respect for the peace initiative. They said that Amanullah Lak was unwell<\/strong> and requested a few days to consult with him before giving a formal response to the proposal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The meeting concluded with a collective prayer for peace and reconciliation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking to the media afterwards, the leaders of the reconciliation delegation expressed optimism that the opposing family would respond positively after the requested consultation period and hoped that both sides would soon reach a peaceful settlement, bringing an end to the long-standing conflict.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
