The inflow has reached 278,000 cusecs, resulting in a low-level flood at the barrage.

The FFD further stated that low-level flooding continues at Kalabagh, Taunsa, and Guddu barrages on the Indus River. Authorities are closely monitoring water levels at these locations to assess any changes in the flood situation.

Meanwhile, the Punjab Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) said that water flow in most rivers across Punjab has returned to normal. However, it confirmed that Kalabagh and Taunsa on the Indus River continue to experience low-level flood conditions.

Despite the overall improvement, floodwaters have caused significant disruption in some areas. In Jalalpur Pirwala, a tehsil of Multan, overflowing waters from the Chenab River entered more than two dozen settlements, forcing residents to evacuate their homes and move to safer locations.

According to local officials, one person lost their life after drowning in the floodwaters in the affected area. Rescue teams and local authorities are continuing relief efforts while monitoring the safety of displaced residents.

Separate rain-related incidents also caused casualties in other parts of Punjab. In Sargodha, heavy rainfall led to the collapse of the roof of a dairy farm. The incident claimed the lives of two children, while four other people were injured after being trapped under the debris. Rescue workers responded promptly, recovering the victims and shifting the injured to nearby hospitals for treatment.

In Sheikhupura, a powerful surge of water damaged a section of the railway track, disrupting rail infrastructure in the area. Railway authorities have begun inspections and repair work to restore normal operations and ensure passenger safety.

Disaster management officials have urged residents living near rivers and low-lying areas to remain cautious, even as water levels decline in several regions. Authorities continue to monitor river flows around the clock and have advised the public to follow official warnings and evacuation instructions where necessary.

The recent spell of monsoon rains caused flooding in several parts of Punjab and other provinces, prompting emergency response operations. While the overall flood situation has improved in many locations, officials say vulnerable communities should remain alert until river levels stabilise completely.

The Flood Forecasting Division and PDMA have assured the public that they will continue issuing regular updates as weather conditions evolve. Emergency services remain on standby to respond to any fresh flooding or rain-related incidents during the ongoing monsoon season.

Lahore: Flood conditions in the Ravi River have eased significantly, with floodwaters receding at Head Sadhnai and the river’s flow returning to normal, according to..

[3

post-8140","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-pakistan
https://paksouch.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/438953_9682521_updates-1.jpg",700,400,false
https://paksouch.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/438953_9682521_updates-1-150x150.jpg",150,150,true
https://paksouch.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/438953_9682521_updates-1-300x171.jpg",300,171,true
https://paksouch.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/438953_9682521_updates-1.jpg",700,400,false
https://paksouch.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/438953_9682521_updates-1.jpg",700,400,false],"1536x1536":["https://paksouch.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/438953_9682521_updates-1.jpg",700,400,false],"2048x2048":["https://paksouch.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/438953_9682521_updates-1.jpg",700,400,false
admin
["GET
