Trump Highway<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Previously known as the <strong>Tiznit\u2013Dakhla Expressway<\/strong>, the route extends approximately <strong>655 miles (1,055 kilometres)<\/strong> along Morocco&#8217;s Atlantic coast. The project reportedly cost <strong>around US$1 billion<\/strong> to construct.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Responding to the announcement, President Trump thanked King Mohammed VI for what he described as a great honour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;I thank the King of Morocco for this great honour,&#8221; Trump said in a message.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He also expressed hope that he would soon have the opportunity to travel on the newly named highway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The royal decree, as reported by Arab media, marks the official renaming of one of Morocco&#8217;s major transport corridors in recognition of the US president.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>RABAT: Morocco has officially named its 655-mile (1,055-kilometre) coastal highway after US President Donald Trump, according to Arab media reports.
