However, one of the prisoners <strong>died on the way<\/strong>, raising concerns about medical facilities and response protocols within the prison system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to <strong>jail sources<\/strong>, the three inmates complained of <strong>severe chest pain<\/strong> and were immediately taken to the <strong>Rawalpindi Institute of Cardiology (RIC)<\/strong> for emergency treatment. Unfortunately, one of them <strong>succumbed to his condition during the transfer<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sources further revealed that the hospital authorities <strong>initially refused to receive the deceased prisoner<\/strong>, stating that he had already passed away before arrival. The deceased inmate had reportedly been <strong>arrested in a narcotics case<\/strong> registered at <strong>Kallar Syedan Police Station<\/strong>. The remaining two inmates, both <strong>facing murder charges<\/strong>, are still under treatment at the cardiac hospital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The death has triggered questions about <strong>medical negligence and delayed emergency response<\/strong> inside Adiala Jail. Prison insiders claimed that the inmates had been <strong>complaining of chest pain for hours<\/strong> before they were moved, but the <strong>delay in obtaining medical clearance and transport<\/strong> may have proven fatal for one of them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Family members of the deceased prisoner, upon hearing the news, have <strong>demanded a transparent investigation<\/strong> into the incident. \u201cOur brother was not a hardened criminal,\u201d said one relative outside the hospital. \u201cHe was serving his time for a drug-related charge. If he had received timely medical attention, he might still be alive.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sources within the prison administration stated that an <strong>internal inquiry<\/strong> has been ordered to determine the exact cause of death and assess whether <strong>prison medical officers<\/strong> followed due procedures.
