trading, <strong>Brent crude<\/strong> rose by <strong>$1.93<\/strong>, or <strong>2 percent<\/strong>, to reach <strong>$96 per barrel<\/strong>, its highest level since <strong>June 8<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Meanwhile, <strong>West Texas Intermediate (WTI)<\/strong> crude gained <strong>$1.44<\/strong>, or <strong>1.7 percent<\/strong>, to trade at <strong>$88.27 per barrel<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The latest gains followed strong increases in the previous trading session, when <strong>Brent crude<\/strong> settled at <strong>$94.07 per barrel<\/strong> after rising by more than <strong>$3<\/strong>, while <strong>WTI crude<\/strong> also recorded an increase of nearly <strong>3 percent<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The surge in oil prices came amid heightened geopolitical tensions after U.S. forces reportedly launched a new wave of attacks on Iran.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Market sentiment was also influenced by reports of <strong>Houthi attacks on oil tankers in the Red Sea<\/strong>, raising concerns over the security of one of the world&#8217;s most important energy shipping routes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Analysts said fears of potential disruptions to global oil supplies have driven investors toward higher crude prices as markets continue to monitor developments in the Middle East.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The rise in oil prices is expected to have broader implications for global
