MUMBAI:<\/strong> Veteran Bollywood actor Jeetendra<\/strong> has revealed that a bungalow he once believed brought him bad luck eventually became the most valuable investment of his life<\/strong>, with its current estimated value reaching Rs4.5 billion (450 crore)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking to Indian media, Jeetendra recalled that legendary actor Bharat Bhushan<\/strong>, best known for classics such as Baiju Bawra<\/em>, approached him during a period of financial hardship with an offer to sell his bungalow in Pali Hill<\/strong>, Mumbai.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jeetendra said he discussed the proposal with his father, who encouraged him to buy the property.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“My father said, ‘Let’s buy a bungalow.’ At that time, eight members of our family were living in a single 10-by-20-foot room<\/strong>, so owning a bungalow was a dream for us,” he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The actor revealed that he purchased the bungalow for Rs425,000<\/strong>, a price that also included a 3,450-square-foot plot of land<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, soon after moving into the property, Jeetendra experienced a difficult phase in his career.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He said four of his films failed consecutively at the box office<\/strong>, leading him to believe that the house was unlucky.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I became convinced that the property had brought misfortune into my life, so we eventually moved out,” he recalled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Years later, a property developer approached him with a proposal to redevelop the bungalow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jeetendra agreed to the redevelopment, a decision that proved highly profitable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He said that the valuable Burma teak wood<\/strong> used in the construction of the original bungalow alone earned him nearly three times the amount he had originally paid for the property<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The actor added that the redevelopment transformed what he once viewed as an unlucky purchase into the best investment of his lifetime<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Jeetendra, the property’s estimated value has now risen to approximately Rs450 crore (4.5 billion Indian rupees)<\/strong>, making it one of his most significant financial assets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reflecting on the experience, the veteran actor suggested that what initially appeared to be an unfortunate decision ultimately turned into an extraordinary long-term investment, highlighting how perceptions of success and failure can change over time.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
