Speaking to Afghan media outlets, Mujahid emphasized that Afghanistan would not serve as a tool for any external power and would instead pursue a balanced foreign policy based on mutual respect and sovereignty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAfghanistan is not, and will never be, anyone\u2019s proxy,\u201d Mujahid asserted, responding to recent regional concerns about the Taliban regime\u2019s foreign policy direction. \u201cWe want to engage with all nations \u2014 both within and beyond the region \u2014 as an independent and sovereign country that seeks peace, cooperation, and mutual benefit.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mujahid clarified that Afghanistan\u2019s ties with India are based purely on independence and self-determination, rejecting the notion that such relations are influenced by Pakistan or any other state. \u201cOur relations with India are independent and have no connection with Pakistan. We do not allow one country\u2019s relationship with Afghanistan to affect another,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He further stressed that Afghanistan\u2019s engagement with any country \u2014 whether India, Pakistan, Iran, or China \u2014 is driven by national interests rather than external agendas. \u201cAfghanistan\u2019s relations have never been against Pakistan or any of its neighbors. Our objective is to build trust and cooperation with every country in the region,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Taliban spokesperson\u2019s remarks come amid heightened regional tensions following Pakistan\u2019s warnings over cross-border militancy and calls for the Afghan Taliban to prevent armed groups from using Afghan soil to launch attacks.
