LAHORE:<\/strong> A high-level flood<\/strong> has reached Head Qadirabad<\/strong> on the River Chenab<\/strong>, following similar flood conditions at Head Marala<\/strong> and Head Khanki<\/strong>, according to the Flood Forecasting Division (FFD) Lahore<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The FFD reported that the water inflow at Head Qadirabad<\/strong> has risen to 236,000 cusecs<\/strong>, placing the barrage in the high flood category.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, the River Ravi<\/strong> is experiencing a medium-level flood<\/strong> at Head Balloki<\/strong>, where the water flow has increased to 73,635 cusecs<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The department also said that a low-level flood<\/strong> continues at Nowshera<\/strong> on the River Kabul<\/strong>, while Kalabagh<\/strong> and Chashma Barrage<\/strong> on the River Indus<\/strong> are also experiencing low flood conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Balochistan<\/strong>, a high-level flood<\/strong> has been reported in the River Lehri<\/strong> at Head Gogi<\/strong> in Sibi Division<\/strong>, where the water discharge has been recorded at 95,913 cusecs<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Separately, rescue officials confirmed that all five people stranded in the River Chenab in Sialkot<\/strong> have been safely rescued.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Rescue authorities, the five individuals had gone to the river for work, but their boat developed a fault<\/strong> while they were returning, leaving them stranded before they were successfully rescued.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The latest flood situation comes after India released a large volume of water into Pakistan<\/strong> following heavy rainfall in Indian-administered Kashmir<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following the upstream water release, Pakistani authorities have warned of the possibility of major flooding<\/strong> along the River Chenab. As a precaution, a high alert<\/strong> has been issued in the Sialkot<\/strong> and Wazirabad<\/strong> regions, where district administrations and emergency response agencies have been directed to remain on standby and closely monitor the evolving flood situation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Authorities have urged residents living in low-lying and riverbank areas to stay informed through official advisories and follow evacuation instructions if necessary, as water levels may continue to rise depending on upstream inflows and weather conditions.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
