RAWALPINDI:<\/strong> Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni<\/strong> met with Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir<\/strong> at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi on Tuesday, where the two sides discussed regional and bilateral security issues, border management, and ongoing efforts to promote peace and stability in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR)<\/strong>, the Iranian minister arrived at GHQ for high-level talks with Pakistan\u2019s Chief of Army Staff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the meeting, both leaders exchanged views on the prevailing regional security environment as well as matters relating to bilateral security cooperation between Pakistan and Iran. The discussions also focused on strengthening coordination for effective border management, an issue of mutual importance for the two neighboring countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ISPR said the meeting underscored the importance of continued collaboration to address shared security challenges and maintain peace along the Pakistan-Iran border.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the talks, Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni praised Pakistan\u2019s consistent efforts to reduce regional tensions and acknowledged the country’s significant diplomatic role in promoting dialogue and stability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the military\u2019s media wing, the Iranian minister appreciated Pakistan\u2019s initiatives aimed at encouraging de-escalation and recognized its constructive role as a proponent of peace in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
