MUZAFFARABAD:<\/strong> Chief Election Commissioner of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK)<\/strong>, Justice Ghulam Mustafa Mughal<\/strong>, has dismissed reports suggesting that the upcoming elections could be postponed, reaffirming that polling will take place on July 27<\/strong> as scheduled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking about preparations for the elections, the Chief Election Commissioner said that all necessary arrangements had been completed and described rumors of a delay as baseless.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Election Date Will Not Change<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Justice Ghulam Mustafa Mughal stated that reports claiming the elections would be postponed were nothing more than rumors<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He emphasized that if there had been any intention to change the election schedule, such a decision would have been made at least a month in advance<\/strong>, not just days before polling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“With only seven days remaining before the vote, the elections will be held under all circumstances,” he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Preparations Complete<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

According to the Chief Election Commissioner, the Election Commission has finalized all administrative preparations for the polls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He said polling materials have already been delivered to Returning Officers<\/strong> across Azad Kashmir, ensuring that election staff are fully prepared for voting day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Government Employees’ Voting<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Justice Mughal also confirmed that polling for government employees<\/strong> would proceed according to the announced schedule.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He noted that, except for Rawalakot<\/strong> and Pallandri<\/strong>, voting by government employees in other areas would continue as planned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Comprehensive Security Arrangements<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Chief Election Commissioner said extensive security measures have been put in place to ensure the peaceful conduct of the elections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
