LAHORE:<\/strong> A nine-year-old girl who had travelled from Dubai to Lahore<\/strong> to spend her school holidays with relatives has died after an incident at a private water park, with her family alleging gross negligence by the facility’s management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The child, Rahmeen Fatima<\/strong>, reportedly drowned while swimming at a private water park near Jallo Morr<\/strong>. Police have arrested three individuals<\/strong>, including the park manager, and registered a criminal case as investigations continue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Child Had Come to Lahore for Holidays<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

According to family members, Rahmeen Fatima had arrived in Lahore from Dubai a few days earlier to spend time with her maternal relatives in the Misri Shah<\/strong> area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On July 13<\/strong>, she visited the water park with other children from her family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Relatives said the children were enjoying themselves in the swimming pool when Rahmeen suddenly went missing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Body Recovered from Drainage Manhole<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

After the child could not be found, family members informed the water park administration and began searching the premises.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the family, after an extensive search, Rahmeen’s body was recovered from the third drainage manhole<\/strong> connected to the swimming pool’s drainage system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The discovery left her parents and relatives devastated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Family Alleges Negligence<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Rahmeen’s father, Muhammad Nadeem<\/strong>, said his daughter was the couple’s only child<\/strong>, born after nine years of marriage<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He alleged that the tragedy occurred because members of the water park staff had opened the pool’s drainage system while children were still swimming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to him, there was no protective safety grill<\/strong> covering the drainage opening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He described the incident as more than mere negligence, alleging that opening drainage holes while children were in the pool amounted to a criminal act.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Police Action<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Police responded to the incident by arresting the water park manager<\/strong> and two other individuals<\/strong> associated with the facility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A criminal case has been registered, and investigators are examining the circumstances surrounding the incident, including whether safety regulations were violated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
