RIYADH:<\/strong> Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah<\/strong> has reported a 22.5% increase<\/strong> in the number of Umrah pilgrims, with Pakistani nationals accounting for the largest share<\/strong> of visitors during the current Umrah season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the ministry, the 2026\u201327 Umrah season<\/strong> began on 15 Dhul Hijjah 1448 AH<\/strong>, following the conclusion of the annual Hajj pilgrimage. Between then and 29 Muharram<\/strong>, more than 900,000 pilgrims<\/strong> performed Umrah over a period of approximately six weeks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ministry said around 200,000 pilgrims from Pakistan<\/strong> arrived during this period, making Pakistan the leading source of Umrah visitors. Indonesia<\/strong> ranked second with approximately 170,000 pilgrims<\/strong>, followed by Iraq<\/strong> with about 130,000<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Saudi authorities had begun issuing Umrah visas on May 31, 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the announced schedule, the last date for Umrah visa issuance is 1 Shawwal 1448 AH (March 9, 2027)<\/strong>, while the final date for pilgrims to enter Saudi Arabia is 15 Shawwal 1448 AH (March 23, 2027)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The deadline for departing Saudi Arabia<\/strong> after completing Umrah has been set as 30 Shawwal 1448 AH (April 7, 2027)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ministry has advised intending pilgrims to complete their registration and travel documentation well in advance to avoid any difficulties during their pilgrimage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hajj Registration Continues in Pakistan<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s Ministry of Religious Affairs<\/strong> said that online registration for Hajj pilgrims<\/strong> is continuing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the ministry, 340,000 people<\/strong> have registered online so far. Of these, 246,000<\/strong> have opted for the government Hajj scheme<\/strong>, while 94,000<\/strong> have chosen the private Hajj scheme<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A ministry spokesperson said an announcement regarding the online collection of Hajj dues<\/strong> is expected soon and advised registered applicants to use the Pak Hajj mobile application<\/strong> or the ministry’s Hajj helplines<\/strong> for information and assistance.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
