{"id":6419,"date":"2026-07-18T14:24:42","date_gmt":"2026-07-18T14:24:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/paksouch.com\/?p=6419"},"modified":"2026-07-18T14:24:44","modified_gmt":"2026-07-18T14:24:44","slug":"four-karachi-police-officers-suspended-over-alleged-short-term-kidnapping-of-citizen","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/paksouch.com\/?p=6419","title":{"rendered":"Four Karachi Police Officers Suspended Over Alleged Short-Term Kidnapping of Citizen"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>KARACHI:<\/strong> Four police officers have been <strong>suspended<\/strong> and an inquiry has been ordered following allegations that they were involved in the <strong>short-term kidnapping<\/strong> of a citizen during a snap-checking operation near <strong>Darakhshan Police Station<\/strong> in Karachi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to police, the incident occurred when officers stopped a citizen as part of a routine <strong>snap-checking<\/strong> exercise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Police officials said that after completing the initial check, the officers allegedly kept the citizen in their vehicle and drove him around different roads instead of releasing him immediately.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The citizen has alleged that the officers <strong>demanded and received Rs50,000<\/strong> before letting him go.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Following the complaint, police authorities suspended the four officers and ordered a departmental inquiry to determine the facts and fix responsibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The allegations are currently under investigation, and no conclusions have yet been reached regarding the officers&#8217; conduct.
