{"id":6380,"date":"2026-07-18T13:39:40","date_gmt":"2026-07-18T13:39:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/paksouch.com\/?p=6380"},"modified":"2026-07-18T13:39:41","modified_gmt":"2026-07-18T13:39:41","slug":"pakistan-reduces-profit-rates-on-national-savings-schemes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/paksouch.com\/?p=6380","title":{"rendered":"Pakistan Reduces Profit Rates on National Savings Schemes"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>KARACHI:<\/strong> The government has reduced the <strong>profit rates on several National Savings Schemes<\/strong>, lowering returns for investors and account holders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to an official notification issued by the <strong>Central Directorate of National Savings (CDNS)<\/strong>, the annual profit rate for the <strong>Behbood Savings Certificate<\/strong> and the <strong>Pensioners&#8217; Benefit Account<\/strong> has been revised to <strong>12.96%<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The notification also states that the <strong>Regular Income Certificate (RIC)<\/strong> will now offer a <strong>monthly profit rate equivalent to an annual return of 11.52%<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Under the revised rates, an investment of <strong>Rs100,000<\/strong> in a Regular Income Certificate will generate a <strong>monthly profit of Rs960<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For the <strong>Special Savings Certificate<\/strong>, the profit rate has been set at <strong>11.2% for the first six months<\/strong> and <strong>12.6% for the following six months<\/strong>, according to the notification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The government has also reduced the annual return on the <strong>Shuhada Family Welfare Account<\/strong> to <strong>12.96%<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The revised profit rates are expected to affect investors who rely on National Savings Schemes for fixed-income returns, particularly pensioners, senior citizens, and families using these schemes for long-term savings.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>KARACHI: The government has reduced the profit rates on several National Savings Schemes, lowering returns for investors and account holders.
