PATNA:<\/strong> Police in the Indian state of Bihar<\/strong> have arrested a woman and her alleged boyfriend for allegedly conspiring to murder her husband, who was shot dead while traveling by train.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Indian media reports, the victim, Dev Kumar Ganjan<\/strong>, worked as a technician in the electricity department in Bihar. He was reportedly traveling by train to meet his wife, Smita Kumari<\/strong>, when he was attacked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Authorities said the shooting occurred near Badla Ghat<\/strong> in Khagaria district<\/strong>, where the victim was fatally shot during the journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Police Investigation<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

According to police, the investigation revealed that Smita Kumari was employed as a Motor Vehicle Inspector<\/strong> in Supaul district<\/strong> and was allegedly involved in a relationship with a man identified as Ajit Kumar<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Investigators allege that the two considered Dev Kumar Ganjan an obstacle to their relationship and conspired to have him killed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Police claim that Smita Kumari and Ajit Kumar allegedly hired a contract killer identified as Raju Kumar<\/strong>, who is accused of carrying out the shooting aboard the train.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Authorities allege that the suspect shot the victim during the journey before fleeing the scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Arrests Made<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Police said they have arrested Smita Kumari<\/strong> and Ajit Kumar<\/strong> in connection with the case and have initiated further legal proceedings against them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Investigators also stated that efforts are continuing in relation to the alleged contract killer and other aspects of the case.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to police, Raju Kumar<\/strong> has a prior criminal record and had previously served time in jail in another case before obtaining bail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
