KARACHI:<\/strong> Police have informed a judicial court that an unidentified woman<\/strong> is suspected of involvement in the murder case of Dr. Akash<\/strong>, according to an investigation report submitted before the Judicial Magistrate (South).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The report, filed by the investigating officer, states that the woman has yet to be identified, while two additional suspects remain at large<\/strong>. Police said further investigation is underway to establish the identities and roles of all individuals allegedly involved in the incident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the investigation report, the arrested suspects confessed during interrogation that they arrived at the scene on July 13<\/strong> using three motorcycles and a car<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The suspects allegedly told investigators that they targeted a man who had just withdrawn cash from a bank. While attempting to rob him, a security guard present at the scene opened fire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The report states that the suspects responded by firing back at the guard before fleeing the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Police said efforts are continuing to recover the motorcycle used in the crime<\/strong> and to arrest the remaining absconding suspects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The investigation also points to the alleged involvement of an unidentified woman, though the report does not specify the nature of her suspected role in the incident. Authorities said efforts are ongoing to identify and locate her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The case relates to the fatal shooting of Dr. Akash<\/strong>, who was killed during an armed robbery in Karachi’s Frere area<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A day earlier, DIG South Asad Raza<\/strong> announced the arrest of suspects allegedly involved in the robbery and killing. Addressing a joint press conference alongside DIG CIA Muqaddas Haider<\/strong> and other senior police officials, he said the accused had been taken into custody following an investigation into the incident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to police, the suspects have made statements regarding the sequence of events leading to the shooting. However, the investigation remains in progress, and authorities are working to corroborate the suspects’ accounts with forensic evidence and other material collected during the inquiry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Police officials told the court that recovering the remaining evidence, including the vehicle allegedly used in the crime, and apprehending the absconding suspects are essential for completing the investigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
