{"id":5302,"date":"2026-07-08T13:25:16","date_gmt":"2026-07-08T13:25:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/paksouch.com\/?p=5302"},"modified":"2026-07-08T13:25:16","modified_gmt":"2026-07-08T13:25:16","slug":"police-arrest-five-suspects-in-larkana-district","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/paksouch.com\/?p=5302","title":{"rendered":"Police Arrest Five Suspects in Larkana District"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Larkana Office<\/strong><br><strong>File No. 01<\/strong><br><strong>Date: July 8, 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>LARKANA:<\/strong> Larkana Police claimed to have arrested five suspects during operations in different parts of the district, recovering weapons, narcotics, Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) devices, identity cards, cash and mobile phones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to a police spokesperson, Badh Police arrested alleged drug dealer <strong>Ahsan Mangan<\/strong> and recovered <strong>1,080 grams of hashish<\/strong> from his possession.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Gherilo Police arrested <strong>Munir Gadhi<\/strong> and recovered an unlicensed pistol and ammunition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hyderi Police apprehended proclaimed offender <strong>Rahib Bhutto<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Meanwhile, Dokri Police arrested <strong>Shamsuddin Unar<\/strong> and <strong>Riaz Laghari<\/strong> on allegations of illegally deducting money from BISP payments. Police said BISP devices, identity cards, cash and mobile phones were seized from them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tribute Paid to Dawat-e-Islami Personalities on Their Birth Anniversaries<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>LARKANA:<\/strong> Educationist <strong>Javad Ali Bhurgri Attari<\/strong> paid tribute to renowned international Naat reciter <strong>Muhammad Owais Raza Qadri<\/strong> and Dawat-e-Islami Central Shura chief <strong>Haji Muhammad Imran Attari<\/strong> on their birthdays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Speaking at a ceremony, he described both personalities as prominent religious figures who had dedicated their lives to spreading the message of Islam and the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). He said they had inspired millions through Naat recitations, religious preaching and Dawat-e-Islami&#8217;s reform movement, adding that their contributions would be remembered for generations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Residents Protest 18-Hour Power Outage<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>LARKANA:<\/strong> Residents of Kausar Mill Mohalla, Hyderi Mohalla, Hussaini Mohalla and surrounding areas complained of an <strong>18-hour electricity outage<\/strong>, accusing SEPCO of prolonged and unannounced load-shedding during extreme heat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Residents said the prolonged outages had caused severe hardship and appealed to PPP Chairman <strong>Bilawal Bhutto Zardari<\/strong>, SEPCO authorities and the district administration to end unannounced power cuts and take action against officials responsible for creating what they described as an artificial power crisis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Junior Science Teacher Candidates Hold Protest<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>LARKANA:<\/strong> Candidates who appeared in the Junior Science Teachers recruitment test staged a protest rally from Sir Shahnawaz Bhutto Memorial Public Library to the Larkana Press Club.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The protesters objected to the Sindh Education Department&#8217;s decision to adopt a <strong>55-mark passing criterion<\/strong>, arguing that previous recruitment tests conducted through IBA Sukkur had followed a <strong>40-plus passing policy<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They claimed the change had unfairly affected thousands of candidates and demanded that the government restore the earlier policy, create additional teaching posts following the upgradation of schools across Sindh, and issue appointment letters to eligible candidates. They warned of expanding their protest if their demands were ignored.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Labourer Seeks Recovery of Allegedly Stolen Rickshaw<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>LARKANA:<\/strong> A labourer, <strong>Mir Hussain Chandio<\/strong>, along with his sons, protested outside the Larkana Press Club, demanding the recovery of his allegedly stolen Qingqi rickshaw.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He alleged that on <strong>July 3<\/strong>, unidentified individuals stole the vehicle near Bhains Colony while his son was driving it. He claimed police had failed to take effective action despite being informed and appealed to the DIG and SSP Larkana to recover the vehicle and arrest those responsible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Elderly Couple Allege Harassment by Relatives<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>LARKANA:<\/strong> Elderly labourer <strong>Muhammad Ramzan Bhangar<\/strong> and his wife protested outside the press club, alleging harassment by relatives following a family dispute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ramzan claimed that after his son&#8217;s marriage, disagreements arose with his daughter-in-law&#8217;s family. He alleged that several relatives forcibly entered his home, assaulted family members and took his daughter-in-law away. He further claimed they had received death threats and appealed to the police to provide protection and investigate the matter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Staff Nurse Protests Against Hospital Administration<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>LARKANA:<\/strong> A female staff nurse at <strong>Chandka Medical Hospital<\/strong> protested outside the press club, alleging irregularities in appointments and administrative affairs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nurse <strong>Josephine (Julie)<\/strong> alleged that junior nurses had been promoted to senior administrative positions while experienced staff had been overlooked. She further accused hospital officials of mismanagement and claimed that nurses were being sent abroad after receiving money. She also made allegations of inappropriate conduct against an assistant nursing superintendent and called on the Sindh government to conduct an inquiry and appoint qualified senior officials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Shopkeeper Demands Action Over Alleged Fraudulent Cheque<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>LARKANA:<\/strong> Elderly shopkeeper <strong>Muhammad Azeem Memon<\/strong> staged a protest outside the press club, alleging that a former tenant had issued him a fraudulent cheque.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the protester, the tenant owed him <strong>Rs100,000<\/strong> in rent but later provided a cheque worth <strong>Rs50,000<\/strong>, which he said was dishonoured because it was fake. He claimed an FIR had been registered but alleged that police had failed to arrest the accused, who had reportedly fled to Karachi. He appealed to senior police officials for action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Labourer Accuses Policeman of Failing to Pay for Buffalo<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>LARKANA:<\/strong> A young labourer from <strong>Mirwah village<\/strong> protested outside the Larkana Press Club, alleging that a police official had failed to pay him for a buffalo purchased six months ago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Muhammad Hanif Phulpoto<\/strong> claimed that policeman <strong>Abdul Sattar Jagirani<\/strong> had bought the buffalo for <strong>Rs460,000<\/strong> and promised payment within a week but never paid the agreed amount.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He further alleged that although an inquiry reportedly found the policeman responsible, the report later disappeared from the complaint cell and no action had been taken.
