ISLAMABAD:<\/strong> Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has directed Pakistani embassies around the world to intensify efforts to identify employment opportunities for Pakistani youth, as part of the government’s broader strategy to enhance overseas employment and equip young people with internationally recognized skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The directive was issued during a high-level review meeting in Islamabad chaired by the Prime Minister to assess ongoing initiatives aimed at increasing employment opportunities for young Pakistanis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the meeting, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif instructed all Pakistani diplomatic missions abroad to proactively engage with host countries, employers, and relevant institutions to secure more job opportunities for skilled Pakistani workers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He also ordered the complete digitization of the Protectorate of Emigration<\/strong> system to make overseas employment procedures more efficient, transparent, and accessible for job seekers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Prime Minister further directed the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development, the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC), and the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme to ensure the provision of high-quality vocational training, language courses, and internationally recognized certifications for Pakistani youth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The Pakistani workforce is talented and capable of competing globally,” the Prime Minister said. “The government is taking every possible step to provide education and professional training that meets international standards and improves access to employment opportunities across the world.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He emphasized that enhancing the skills of young people remains one of the government’s top priorities, enabling them to secure better-paying jobs in international labor markets while contributing to Pakistan’s economic growth through increased remittances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prime Minister Shehbaz also instructed Pakistani embassies to improve awareness regarding overseas employment opportunities and to regularly share information about vacancies, skill requirements, and labor market trends with relevant authorities in Pakistan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He directed diplomatic missions to coordinate closely with foreign governments, recruitment agencies, and employers to identify sectors where Pakistani professionals and skilled workers can be employed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Prime Minister further stressed the importance of aligning Pakistani vocational qualifications and certifications with internationally accepted standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He instructed relevant institutions to strengthen collaboration with foreign governments, accreditation bodies, and educational organizations to ensure that Pakistani certifications are widely recognized in global labor markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Officials briefed the meeting on progress made under the government’s youth employment initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the briefing, more than 800,000 young Pakistanis have already registered on the Digital Youth Hub<\/strong>, an online platform designed to connect youth with educational, training, and employment opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Participants were informed that various training programs are currently underway to prepare Pakistanis for overseas employment by enhancing their technical, vocational, and language skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The meeting was also told that Pakistani embassies will begin regularly uploading information regarding available jobs abroad, eligibility criteria, required qualifications, and skill demands directly onto the Digital Youth Hub portal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This initiative aims to provide young job seekers with real-time access to international employment opportunities while helping them understand the qualifications and certifications required for different professions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Government officials said the Digital Youth Hub is expected to become a centralized platform linking Pakistani youth with career opportunities, professional training programs, scholarships, and overseas employment options.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Prime Minister reiterated that improving human resource development remains essential for Pakistan’s long-term economic progress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He emphasized that producing a globally competitive workforce through quality education, technical training, language proficiency, and internationally recognized certifications would not only create better employment prospects for Pakistani youth but also strengthen the country’s presence in international labor markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
