QUETTA: An improvised explosive device (IED) planted by unidentified individuals exploded near the Spizand Bridge in Mastung District on Friday morning, partially damaging the road but causing no casualties, police said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to police, the blast occurred at around 8am near the bridge. While the bridge remained intact, a section of the adjoining road sustained partial damage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Police, bomb disposal personnel and other law enforcement agencies rushed to the scene shortly after the explosion. The area was cordoned off and a search operation was launched as investigators collected evidence to determine the nature of the blast and identify those responsible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Officials said no vehicles or pedestrians were passing through the area at the time of the explosion, preventing any loss of life or injuries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Following the incident, security forces increased patrols in the area and tightened surveillance in nearby localities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
