Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Maryam Nawaz has said that a 99 percent conviction rate in courts is an open truth about the Punjab Enforcement Regulatory Authority (PERA), <\/p>\n\n\n\n
She expressed these views while presiding over a special meeting in Lahore on Monday to review the performance of PERA. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Chief Minister declared digital requisition mandatory to monitor the performance of PERA. The CM asked to make the \u201cAsk Pera\u201d app for the removal of people’s grievances more transparently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Maryam Nawaz said that there will be no compromise on PERA performance. She said that every action of PERA must be people-friendly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Chief Minister said that PERA should ensure its action through the PERA requisition rules.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During a comprehensive briefing, the Chief Minister said that 351 employees were sent to their departments for violating discipline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Chief Minister was informed that PERA took action on 62,000 digital requisitions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The CM was told that 15,27,000 inspections were completed in the province.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During the inspections, 3500 shops were sealed for violation of rules and regulations, and 21,000 acres of land were retrieved during the anti-encroachment drive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The CM was informed that 1700 people were arrested who were involved in violations of the rules.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Chief Minister said that no investigation officer will be transferred through anyone’s recommendations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Maryam Nawaz said that the process for fresh appointments in PERA will be completed by next year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
