Jamshoro:<\/strong> Acting on the directives of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Jamshoro Zafar Siddique Chhanga<\/strong>, police in the Sehwan Sub-Division have successfully arrested members of a motorcycle theft gang and recovered 18 stolen motorcycles<\/strong>, which were later returned to their rightful owners after legal formalities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Addressing a press conference, DSP Sehwan Faraz Ali<\/strong> said that the operation was carried out under a coordinated strategy devised on the special instructions of SSP Jamshoro. Police teams conducted raids at various locations and arrested suspects allegedly involved in a network responsible for motorcycle thefts in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During interrogation, the arrested suspects reportedly disclosed information that led police to several locations where stolen motorcycles had been concealed. Acting on these leads, law enforcement officials recovered 18 stolen motorcycles<\/strong> and completed the necessary legal procedures before handing them back to their owners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The recovered motorcycles were returned to citizens including Asif Barhamani, Nisar Otho, Faheem Otho, Noor-ul Otho, Ameer Panhwar, Nisar Panhwar, Gul Sher Burdi, Nadeem Barhamani, Imtiaz Barhamani, Waheed Panhwar, Sarwar Solangi, Ismail Brohi, Majeed, Mujahid Mallah, Rehmatullah Khoso, Ali Muhammad Dahani, Imtiaz Ali, and Shahid Halepotto<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DSP Faraz Ali stated that the successful operation reflected the commitment of Jamshoro Police to combating street crime and organized theft. He noted that under the leadership of SSP Zafar Siddique Chhanga, police have intensified efforts against criminal groups operating in the district.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He further said that the recovered motorcycles represented significant financial value and their return brought relief to the affected citizens who had suffered losses due to theft. The police official emphasized that investigations were continuing to determine whether the arrested suspects were linked to additional theft cases in other areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the same press conference, DSP Faraz Ali also highlighted another major police operation targeting narcotics trafficking. He revealed that police arrested Achar alias Porhiyo Mallah<\/strong>, a resident of Sehwan, during a separate raid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to police, 2,030 grams of charas (hashish)<\/strong> were recovered from the suspect\u2019s possession. Following the recovery, authorities registered a criminal case against the accused under FIR No. 106\/2026<\/strong> in accordance with Section 9(1)(3)(C) of the Sindh Control of Narcotic Substances Act, 2024<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The DSP said that further investigations were underway and additional legal proceedings would be pursued in accordance with the law. He reiterated that the district police were determined to crack down on drug trafficking networks and individuals involved in the sale and distribution of narcotics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cJamshoro Police are continuing indiscriminate action against criminals, motorcycle thieves, and drug dealers. Every available resource is being utilized to rid society of crime and the menace of narcotics,\u201d DSP Faraz Ali said during the briefing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He added that maintaining public safety and restoring citizens\u2019 confidence in law enforcement remained a top priority. The police department, he said, would continue intelligence-based operations and targeted actions against criminal elements throughout the district.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Citizens who received their motorcycles expressed gratitude and appreciation for the efforts of Jamshoro Police. Many described the recovery of their vehicles as a significant relief, particularly given the financial burden associated with replacing stolen motorcycles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The affected residents praised SSP Jamshoro Zafar Siddique Chhanga, DSP Sehwan Faraz Ali, SHO Sehwan Tariq Ali Channa, Fifteen Emergency Service In-Charge Manzooruddin, and the entire police team for their dedication and professionalism in recovering the stolen property.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The successful recovery operation has been viewed as a positive development in local policing efforts and an example of effective coordination among various law enforcement units. Officials expressed hope that such actions would serve as a deterrent to criminal groups involved in theft and narcotics-related activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
