Islamabad \u2013 Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has congratulated the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) for emerging as the leading political party in the recent Gilgit-Baltistan elections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In his statement, the Prime Minister appreciated the peaceful conduct of the elections and also extended congratulations to the people of Gilgit-Baltistan for their active participation in the democratic process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He said that the PPP has emerged as the majority political party in Gilgit-Baltistan and deserves appreciation for its performance. He also congratulated PPP leaders President Asif Ali Zardari and Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on the electoral outcome.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Prime Minister further acknowledged the efforts of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) candidates who, according to him, put up a strong contest in the elections. He praised the party\u2019s workers and team for their hard work and dedication during the campaign.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
