Hyderabad, June 5, 2026:<\/strong> Hyderabad Police have stepped up operations against criminals, anti-social elements, drug dealers, and sellers of illegal substances under directives issued by DIG Hyderabad Range Tariq Razzaq Khan Dharijo<\/strong> and SSP Hyderabad Shahzaib Chachar<\/strong>. As part of the ongoing campaign, police arrested three suspects, seized a large quantity of counterfeit cigarettes and recovered several bottles of liquor during separate operations across the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Counterfeit Cigarette Supply Foiled in Khursheed Town<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

According to police officials, Pinyari Police Station<\/strong> SHO Inspector Munir Ahmed Abbasi<\/strong> and his team acted on confidential information and conducted a raid near the wall of the Filter Plant in Khursheed Town<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the operation, police foiled an alleged attempt to distribute a large quantity of counterfeit and potentially hazardous cigarettes. The suspected supplier, identified as Saleem Soomro<\/strong>, managed to escape from the scene after noticing the police presence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Authorities recovered 60 cartons of counterfeit cigarettes<\/strong> of various brands from the location. Police stated that the seized products were suspected to be fake and potentially harmful to public health.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A case, registered as Crime No. 123\/2026<\/strong>, has been lodged against the absconding suspect under Sections 269, 270, 482, 485, and 486 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC)<\/strong>. Efforts are underway to arrest the accused.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two Suspected Drug Dealers Arrested by A-Section Police<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In a separate operation, A-Section Police Station<\/strong> SHO Inspector Agha Asad Pathan<\/strong> and his team conducted a patrol operation that led to the arrest of two suspects allegedly involved in illegal liquor distribution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Police identified the arrested individuals as Tanveer Odh<\/strong> and Hammad Odh<\/strong>. Two additional suspects, identified as Junaid<\/strong> and Osama<\/strong>, reportedly fled the scene during the operation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Officials stated that a total of 12 bottles of liquor<\/strong> were recovered during the action. Following the recovery, police registered Crime No. 277\/2026<\/strong> under Sections 3 and 4 of the Prohibition (Hudood) Order<\/strong> against both the arrested and absconding suspects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Police teams are continuing efforts to locate and apprehend the remaining suspects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Market Police Arrest Another Suspect<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, Market Police Station<\/strong> SHO Inspector Niaz Muhammad Khoso<\/strong> and his staff carried out another patrol operation targeting illegal activities within their jurisdiction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the operation, police arrested a suspect identified as Ayub Khan Rind Baloch<\/strong>. Officials reported recovering four bottles of liquor<\/strong> from his possession.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A case, registered as Crime No. 187\/2026<\/strong>, has been filed against the suspect under Sections 3 and 4 of the Prohibition (Hudood) Order<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ongoing Operations Across Hyderabad<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Hyderabad Police stated that operations against criminal networks, drug dealers, counterfeit goods suppliers, and other anti-social elements are continuing across the district.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the police spokesperson, law enforcement agencies remain committed to maintaining public safety and taking action against activities that threaten public health and security.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Officials emphasized that further raids and intelligence-based operations are expected as part of the broader campaign aimed at curbing crime and illegal trade in Hyderabad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
