Hyderabad: Police in Hyderabad have launched a series of successful operations against criminal elements, drug dealers, gutka and mainpuri sellers, arresting seven suspects and recovering ice (methamphetamine), liquor, raw material for mainpuri, ready mainpuri packets and a stolen motorcycle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The operations were carried out on the directives of DIG Hyderabad Range Tariq Razaq Khan Dharejo and SSP Hyderabad Shahzaib Chachar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At Tando Jam Police Station, under the supervision of SHO Inspector Abdul Malik Abro along with his staff, police conducted routine patrolling operations at different locations and arrested a drug supplier identified as Atiq alias Ati Rajput. Police recovered 10 grams of ice from his possession. A case was registered against him under Crime No. 121\/2026 under Section 9(2) 3(A) of the Narcotics Control Act.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In another action during the same operations, police arrested drug dealer Arshad Lashari with 10 litres of raw liquor. A case was registered against him under Crime No. 122\/2026 under Sections 3\/4 of the Prohibition Ordinance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At Hosri Police Station, under SHO Inspector Liaquat Ali Kumbhar, police conducted an operation near the main road Tando Muhammad Khan and arrested two mainpuri suppliers, Ali Haider Rajput and Muhammad Kashan Rajput. Police recovered 200 packets of mainpuri from each suspect along with 55 kilograms of raw material used for preparation. A case was registered under Crime No. 218\/2026 under Section 8 of the Gutka and Mainpuri Act. Police also took into custody a city car used by the suspects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At Sakhhi Peer Police Station, under SHO Inspector Javed Ahmed Jalbani, police arrested a suspect identified as Ali Gul Solangi in connection with Crime No. 83\/2026 under Section 381-A of the Pakistan Penal Code. A stolen motorcycle bearing registration number HBK-3875 (High Speed brand) was recovered from his possession.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During another operation at the same police station, police arrested mainpuri seller Owais Arain and recovered 115 packets of mainpuri from him. A case was registered under Crime No. 84\/2026 under Section 8 of the Gutka and Mainpuri Act.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At Airport Check Post, under the supervision of Incharge Sub-Inspector Mohsin Ali Jamali and his team, police arrested mainpuri seller Jumman Panhwar with 100 packets of mainpuri. Another suspect, Wazir Panhwar, managed to escape from the scene leaving behind 150 packets of mainpuri. A case was registered against both the arrested and absconding suspects under Crime No. 268\/2026 under Section 8 of the Gutka and Mainpuri Act.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
