GILGIT: The spiritual leader of the Ismaili community, Prince Rahim Aga Khan V, has urged members of the Ismaili community in Pakistan to remain steadfast on the path of righteousness and to promote unity and peaceful coexistence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Prince Rahim Aga Khan made the remarks during his first visit to Gilgit following his assumption of spiritual leadership. His visit marks an important moment for the Ismaili community in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Upon his arrival at Gilgit Airport, he was warmly received by senior civil and military officials, including the Chief Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan Justice (retd) Yar Muhammad, Force Commander Major General Imtiaz Hussain Gillani, Chief Justice of the Chief Court Justice Ali Baig, along with other high-ranking officials and community leaders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to officials, extensive arrangements were made across Gilgit-Baltistan and Chitral for community members to gather and pay respects. Six designated locations were set up where followers of the Ismaili community could observe and participate in the visit-related events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During the visit, Prince Rahim Aga Khan emphasized the importance of maintaining unity within the community and contributing positively to society through peaceful coexistence and mutual respect among different segments of society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He encouraged community members to adhere to principles of harmony, tolerance, and service to humanity, highlighting values that have long been associated with the Ismaili tradition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The visit is being seen as a significant moment for the Ismaili community in northern Pakistan, where a large population resides, particularly in Gilgit-Baltistan and Chitral regions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Local leaders and officials described the visit as a gesture of goodwill and an opportunity to strengthen social cohesion and community engagement in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Security arrangements were also heightened across key areas to ensure the smooth conduct of the visit, while community members gathered in large numbers to express their respect and devotion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
