Identifying the restoration of law and order in KP as a top priority, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday said that Rs160 billion had been allocated for the development and security of the province.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Speaking during a cabinet meeting, he described the meeting between senior leadership of the countries, party to the Makkah Defence Agreement and the Iranian leadership in Tehran as cordial and positive. the prime minister said Field Marshal Asim Munir and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi participated in the meeting alongside the leadership of Turkiye and Saudi Arabia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He termed the meeting in Tehran extremely cordial and positive, and highlighted the engagement between the participating countries and Iran.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Discussing the impact of the prevailing situation on energy prices, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said petroleum prices had come under further pressure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He added that although fuel prices were set to increase further, the government had spared the public from an additional burden of Rs15 per liter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif underlined that the government had reduced refineries profit margins to provide fuel subsidies, directly benefiting more than 15 million people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He also identified restoring law and order in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as a top priority, noting<\/p>\n\n\n\n
