Organization Fikr-o-Nazar Delegation Meets Senior Provincial Minister Sardar Muhammad Bux Khan Mahar in Khan Garh
A delegation led by Professor Asghar Mujahid Mahar, President of Organization Fikr-o-Nazar Sindh and Chairman of the National Committee for the New Mosque of Muhammad Bin Qasim, Aror, met Senior Provincial Minister Sardar Muhammad Bux Khan Mahar at Khan Garh.

The delegation included Rais Niaz Ahmed Mahar, Finance Secretary, Ustad Shafiq-ur-Rehman Rind, and Faheem Khan Naich.

During the meeting, Professor Asghar Mujahid Mahar informed the provincial minister about the demolition of the organization’s central office, Sindh Islamic Centre, located on Minara Road, Sukkur. He stated that the demolition had caused substantial losses to the organization’s religious, educational, intellectual, and research assets.

According to Professor Mahar, the centre housed a religious seminary, public high school, four healthcare units, a medical laboratory, a library containing approximately 100,000 books, and several research facilities. These included the Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai Research Study Cell, Arabic Islamic Promotion Cell, Quran and Sunnah Hall, Pakistan Conference Hall, a modern guest house, and a shopping market.

He further stated that the demolition had also affected shopkeepers and resulted in hundreds of workers losing their livelihoods.

Professor Mahar alleged that the Sukkur Municipal Corporation had misled the court, resulting in decisions that caused irreparable damage to the organization.

He explained that the land had been allotted to the organization under a 99-year lease following the required legal and administrative procedures, with the approval of the relevant authorities. He also claimed that the property was registered in the organization’s name and that official revenue records continued to reflect its ownership.

He maintained that the demolition of the Sindh Islamic Centre had caused a significant loss to religious, educational, literary, and national activities.

Professor Mahar appealed to the senior provincial minister to address the alleged injustice and take steps for the restoration of the mosque, religious seminary, library, and school.

Response of Senior Provincial Minister
Taking notice of the matter, Sardar Muhammad Bux Khan Mahar contacted the Mayor of Sukkur by telephone and directed him to carefully examine the organization’s position and case.

He emphasized that the issue should be resolved in accordance with the Constitution and the law, particularly regarding the restoration of the mosque, seminary, library, and school.

The senior provincial minister stated that damaging national institutions was not the policy of the Pakistan Peoples Party. He stressed the importance of supporting religious, educational, intellectual, and literary institutions because of their public significance.

He further said that the party chairman wanted greater attention to be given to the health and education sectors and emphasized the need to support institutions that promote education, healthcare, and intellectual development.
