The prosecution alleged that the money had been paid for the transplant procedure.

The case is being investigated by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) under the Transplantation of Human Organs and Tissues Act, 2010, and relevant provisions of the Pakistan Penal Code.

Alleged network targeted vulnerable workers

Investigators have alleged that the case forms part of a wider network involved in arranging illegal kidney transplants by exploiting financially vulnerable people, including brick-kiln workers.

According to the investigation, labourers were allegedly persuaded to part with their kidneys through promises of financial relief from debt. The authorities suspect that intermediaries arranged donors and recipients and facilitated the procedures for commercial gain.

The FIA had arrested nine people, including the urologist and the private hospital employee, during its crackdown on the alleged network. Subsequent reporting said investigators were examining the role of agents who allegedly recruited donors, particularly from southern Punjab.

The investigation also raised suspicions that some approvals from the Human Organ Transplant Authority (HOTA) had been obtained using allegedly forged or fraudulent documents. These claims form part of the investigation and have not, by themselves, established the guilt of any accused.

Earlier bail orders overturned

The case has passed through several stages of bail proceedings.

A judicial magistrate granted bail to Dr Nadir and another accused on June 9, but the FIA challenged the decision. An additional sessions judge cancelled their bail on July 20.

On August 7, the Islamabad High Court upheld the cancellation, holding that the magistrate’s original order was prima facie erroneous and involved a misinterpretation of the law and facts. The high court also referred to a transfer of Rs2 million into Dr Nadir’s bank account and statements recorded under Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.

The high court maintained that the FIA had the legal authority to investigate the alleged offences under the human organ transplantation law and directed the trial court to proceed in accordance with the law.

The Supreme Court’s latest bail decision is a further development in the proceedings. The grant of bail does not amount to an acquittal, and the allegations remain subject to adjudication by the trial court.

Thirteen people named in case

According to the latest investigation details provided in the case, 13 people have been nominated as accused. Five have been arrested, two have been granted bail and six remain at large.

Investigators have alleged that Dr Nadir was involved in more than 55 kidney transplant operations involving unrelated individuals. They have also identified alleged intermediaries, including a man named Saleem Khan, as part of the network.

The authorities have reportedly written to the relevant institutions to freeze bank accounts belonging to the suspects, including Saleem Khan and Adeel Haider, as part of efforts to trace the financial transactions linked to the alleged operations.

The investigation is continuing, and the allegations against the named individuals have yet to be established through a final judicial determination.

PAK SOUCH MEDIA GROUP

Daily Pak Souch Newspaper Sukkur – Daily Pak Special Newspaper Karachi – Daily Pak Today Newspaper Karachi – Daily Pak Jazbo Newspaper Sukkur

Head Office : Ayub Gate Shaikh Muhalla Near Rabbania Masjid Sukkur

Karachi Office : Office No. 1901-B, 19th Floor Saima Trade Tower (B) Block I.I Chandigarh Road Near Jung Press, Shaheen Complex & National Museum of Pakistan Karachi Sindh Pakistan.

Contact : 03009319022

Website 1 : https://paksouch.com/
Website 2 : https://sindhi.paksouch.com/
Website 3 : https://pakjazbo.com/
Website 4 : https://urdu.pakjazbo.com/

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court has granted bail to Dr Nadir Hussain and Syed Adeel Haider, two accused in an alleged illegal kidney transplantation case involving..

[3

post-17974","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-pakistan
https://paksouch.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/Pak-Souch-Social-Media-Poster-20-3.png",800,947,false
https://paksouch.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/Pak-Souch-Social-Media-Poster-20-3-150x150.png",150,150,true
https://paksouch.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/Pak-Souch-Social-Media-Poster-20-3-253x300.png",253,300,true
https://paksouch.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/Pak-Souch-Social-Media-Poster-20-3-768x909.png",768,909,true
https://paksouch.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/Pak-Souch-Social-Media-Poster-20-3.png",800,947,false],"1536x1536":["https://paksouch.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/Pak-Souch-Social-Media-Poster-20-3.png",800,947,false],"2048x2048":["https://paksouch.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/Pak-Souch-Social-Media-Poster-20-3.png",800,947,false
admin
["GET
