Lahore High Court has disposed of the petition challenging the detention of founder PTI\u2019s sisters Noreen Niazi and Uzma Khan under the MPO.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In its order, court directed the relevant competent authority to make an immediate decision, in accordance with the law, on the pending appeal filed under Section 3 of the MPO.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Court ordered the authority to make an independent decision while taking constitutional rights and fundamental guarantees into account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Court also directed prison authorities to ensure the provision of all necessary and life-saving medicines to Uzma Khan and Noreen Niazi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Court also ordered that arrangements be made for the detainees to meet their families in accordance with prison rules and regulations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Justice Ahbar Gul Khan issued a three-page verdict on the petition filed by Sakina Niazi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The petitioner had challenged the detention of her mother, Noreen Niazi, and her aunt, Uzma Khan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Additional Advocate General Nasir Chauhan and others appeared on behalf of the Punjab government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
