He called for respect for the public mandate, constitutional supremacy and political rights.

Former senator Mushtaq Ahmad said the move amounted to a “political death warrant” for the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), accusing the two parties of undermining democracy and predicting that they would be consigned to the dustbin of history.

In a post on X, he said the Pakistani people, particularly the younger generation, would never forgive them…

Former Sindh governor Mohammad Zubair criticised the PPP, accusing it of repeatedly supporting actions that undermined democratic and constitutional principles. Referring to the removal of the Awami National Party government in Balochistan in 1975, the 2024 general election and the latest move in KP, he questioned the position of liberal voices within the PPP.

PTI leader Ali Muhammad Khan described the imposition of emergency in KP as a political move by the federal government that ran contrary to the mandate of millions of provincial voters and the spirit of the federation.

He called for the emergency to be lifted as soon as possible, saying the province should be governed by its elected representatives. He urged the parties to resolve their differences through political dialogue rather than confrontation.

Former minister and PTI leader Moonis Elahi also condemned the move, saying provincial autonomy was a constitutional right rather than a concession. He said the public mandate could not be taken away at will and called for the protection of constitutional supremacy and the people’s right to govern.

The PPP, however, defended the decision through its lawmaker Kasim Gilani, who compared governor’s rule to divorce in Islam, describing it as an undesirable and disfavoured step that could sometimes become unavoidable.

in a tweet, Gilani said PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari had made concerted efforts to resolve the issue through negotiations but alleged that the KP chief minister had not allowed those efforts to move forward.

President Asif Ali Zardari on Sunday approved the imposition of emergency and governor’s rule in KP on the federal cabinet’s recommendations. The measures were taken under Articles 232 and 234 of the Constitution amid concerns over rising terrorist attacks and the provincial government’s alleged failure to address the security situation effectively

Under the proclamation, the governor is to assume provincial government functions as directed by the federal government, while the powers of the provincial assembly are to be exercised by Parliament or under its authority.

PAK SOUCH MEDIA GROUP

Daily Pak Souch Newspaper Sukkur – Daily Pak Special Newspaper Karachi – Daily Pak Today Newspaper Karachi – Daily Pak Jazbo Newspaper Sukkur

Head Office : Ayub Gate Shaikh Muhalla Near Rabbania Masjid Sukkur

Karachi Office : Office No. 1901-B, 19th Floor Saima Trade Tower (B) Block I.I Chandigarh Road Near Jung Press, Shaheen Complex & National Museum of Pakistan Karachi Sindh Pakistan.

Contact : 03009319022

Website 1 : https://paksouch.com/
Website 2 : https://sindhi.paksouch.com/
Website 3 : https://pakjazbo.com/
Website 4 : https://urdu.pakjazbo.com/

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan on Sunday strongly condemned the imposition of an emergency and governor’s rune in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, rejecting..

[3

post-17543","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-pakistan
https://paksouch.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/Pak-Souch-Social-Media-Poster-6-2.png",800,947,false
https://paksouch.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/Pak-Souch-Social-Media-Poster-6-2-150x150.png",150,150,true
https://paksouch.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/Pak-Souch-Social-Media-Poster-6-2-253x300.png",253,300,true
https://paksouch.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/Pak-Souch-Social-Media-Poster-6-2-768x909.png",768,909,true
https://paksouch.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/Pak-Souch-Social-Media-Poster-6-2.png",800,947,false],"1536x1536":["https://paksouch.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/Pak-Souch-Social-Media-Poster-6-2.png",800,947,false],"2048x2048":["https://paksouch.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/Pak-Souch-Social-Media-Poster-6-2.png",800,947,false
admin
["GET
