Federal Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal contacted Jamaat-e-Islami Deputy Emir Liaquat Baloch on the special directives of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the Prime Minister\u2019s Office, Ahsan Iqbal conveyed the prime minister\u2019s message to the Jamaat-e-Islami leadership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The planning minister said the meeting agreed upon during PM Shehbaz Sharif\u2019s telephonic conversation with Jamaat-e-Islami Emir would be held soon through mutual understanding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Earlier, PM Shehbaz Sharif had contacted the Jamaat-e-Islami Emir and requested him to withdraw the protest call. Following the conversation, the Jamaat-e-Islami had postponed its protest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ahsan Iqbal said providing relief to the people remains among the government\u2019s priorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He added that the government would sit with Jamaat-e-Islami representatives to discuss further measures aimed at providing relief to the public.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
