Justice Ahmed Nadeem Arshad heard the petition filed by Kissan Board Pakistan President Sardar Zafar Hussain. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
During the hearing, counsel for the petitioner argued that timely determination of the wheat support price would help prevent a crisis. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The petitioner requested the court to order the government to announce the wheat support price while keeping farmers\u2019 interests in view. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The petition also sought directions to fix the wheat support price at Rs5,000 per maund. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The federal government\u2019s law officer requested time to submit a response, which the court granted. The court then adjourned the hearing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
