Government representatives maintained that the provincial government needed to provide clear assurances regarding its cooperation with the federal government and security forces.

The PTI, however, has presented a different account of the disagreement. PTI negotiator Salman Akram Raja said the party wanted counterterrorism actions in KP to be based on agreement between the federal and provincial governments and on consultation with political parties represented in the provincial assembly.

The PTI has also said it has “zero tolerance for terrorism” but opposed what it described as collateral damage involving civilian deaths and internal displacement, arguing that counterterrorism policies should have the support of the local population and be based on ground intelligence.

The failure to bridge the differences over counterterrorism, along with unresolved demands concerning access to PTI founder Imran Khan, contributed to the breakdown of the talks. The PTI subsequently announced that it would proceed with its long march towards Islamabad.

The government has said it will not allow the march to enter the federal capital, while authorities have taken measures to restrict movement on key routes leading towards Islamabad.

The latest exchange between Kundi and Naqvi has added another political dimension to the dispute, with the federal and KP governments now publicly presenting sharply different accounts of their respective responsibilities for dealing with militancy in the province.v

PAK SOUCH MEDIA GROUP

Daily Pak Souch Newspaper Sukkur – Daily Pak Special Newspaper Karachi – Daily Pak Today Newspaper Karachi – Daily Pak Jazbo Newspaper Sukkur

Head Office : Ayub Gate Shaikh Muhalla Near Rabbania Masjid Sukkur

Karachi Office : Office No. 1901-B, 19th Floor Saima Trade Tower (B) Block I.I Chandigarh Road Near Jung Press, Shaheen Complex & National Museum of Pakistan Karachi Sindh Pakistan.

Contact : 03009319022

Website 1 : https://paksouch.com/
Website 2 : https://sindhi.paksouch.com/
Website 3 : https://pakjazbo.com/
Website 4 : https://urdu.pakjazbo.com/

ISLAMABAD: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi on Sunday accused the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) of backing away from commitments on counterterrorism, saying its actions had..

[3

post-17097","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-pakistan
https://paksouch.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/Pak-Souch-Social-Media-Poster-41.png",800,947,false
https://paksouch.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/Pak-Souch-Social-Media-Poster-41-150x150.png",150,150,true
https://paksouch.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/Pak-Souch-Social-Media-Poster-41-253x300.png",253,300,true
https://paksouch.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/Pak-Souch-Social-Media-Poster-41-768x909.png",768,909,true
https://paksouch.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/Pak-Souch-Social-Media-Poster-41.png",800,947,false],"1536x1536":["https://paksouch.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/Pak-Souch-Social-Media-Poster-41.png",800,947,false],"2048x2048":["https://paksouch.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/Pak-Souch-Social-Media-Poster-41.png",800,947,false
admin
["GET
