{"id":16670,"date":"2026-09-27T11:34:36","date_gmt":"2026-09-27T11:34:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/paksouch.com\/?p=16670"},"modified":"2026-09-27T11:34:46","modified_gmt":"2026-09-27T11:34:46","slug":"pakistan-navys-hangor-submarine-conducts-maiden-missile-firing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/paksouch.com\/?p=16670","title":{"rendered":"Pakistan Navy\u2019s Hangor submarine conducts maiden missile firing"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Navy\u2019s newly inducted submarine PNS\/M Hangor successfully conducted its maiden live weapon firing in the North Arabian Sea, accurately striking a designated long-range target with an anti-ship cruise missile, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Sunday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf witnessed the firing and praised the submarine\u2019s combat capabilities, according to the military\u2019s media wing.<video height=\"424\" width=\"848\" controls=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/humenglish341f88e60e.blob.core.windows.net\/humenglish\/uploads\/2026\/09\/Hana.mp4\"><\/video><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He also emphasised the strategic importance of strengthening Pakistan Navy\u2019s subsurface capabilities to maintain credible maritime deterrence, the ISPR said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The milestone reflects the Pakistan Navy\u2019s efforts to maintain a modern and combat-ready force to safeguard the country\u2019s maritime frontiers and contribute to regional peace, it added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">PM congratulates Pakistan Navy on successful maiden live weapon firing<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Sunday congratulated the Pakistan Navy and its leadership on the successful maiden live weapon firing by the newly inducted submarine PNS\/M Hangor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The prime minister said the accurate engagement of a long-range target with an anti-ship cruise missile was a testament to the exceptional operational readiness, professionalism and high combat capability of the Pakistan Navy\u2019s submarine force.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He reiterated the government\u2019s unwavering commitment to ensuring the armed forces remained fully prepared to meet any challenge to national security.
