The banned Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) carried out an attack on a construction company\u2019s camp in the Palri area of Nana Sahib Ziarat in Duki district, killing a civilian security guard, injuring two people and abducting 12 workers, according to police.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Police said BLA terrorist exchanged fire with the camp\u2019s civilian security guards during the attack. Security guard Mohtajur Rehman, a resident of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, was killed in the firing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Two other people were injured in the attack. Police identified them as security guard Imran Wazir and passerby Latif Tareen. The terrorists abducted 12 workers from the construction camp, police said. Ten of the workers were from Punjab, while two were local residents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The attackers also set fire to machinery belonging to the construction company before leaving the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Following the attack, police, Frontier Corps (FC) and other security agencies launched a search operation in the surrounding areas to locate the attackers and recover the abducted workers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The latest attack is not the first major assault targeting workers and mining-related activity in Duki. The district has previously witnessed deadly attacks on coal mines, highlighting the security risks faced by workers operating in the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
