A civil court in Islamabad has issued bailable arrest warrants for the chairman of the Capital Development Authority and the Islamabad commissioner in a decree case.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Civil Judge Naseeruddin issued the warrants after the court was told that the decree in the case concerning the implementation of a decree in Muhammad Rashid versus the CDA chairman had not been fully implemented.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the channel report, the civil court was informed that a decree had been issued in favour of Muhammad Rashid in 2000 and was later upheld by the Supreme Court.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The petitioner maintains that he is among the people affected by the CDA’s acquisition of land in Mouza Badiya Qadir Bakhsh. He told the court that although the CDA had acquired the land, he had not yet received the benefits available under the authority’s rehabilitation policy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The petitioner also argued that the decree had not been fully implemented. Barrister Hasnain Haider Thaheem appeared before the court as his lawyer and requested effective and complete implementation of the decree.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After being informed that the decree had still not been implemented, Civil Judge Naseeruddin issued bailable arrest warrants for the CDA chairman and the Islamabad commissioner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The court also directed the relevant authorities to ensure implementation of the decree and ordered that legal action be taken if the court’s directions were not followed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
