Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar met Bahraini Foreign Minister Dr Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, the Foreign Office said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The two foreign ministers discussed bilateral relations between Pakistan and Bahrain and reviewed preparations for the upcoming third session of the Pakistan-Bahrain Joint Ministerial Commission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They also exchanged views on regional and global developments, according to the Foreign Office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Al Zayani appreciated Pakistan\u2019s constructive role in promoting regional peace and stability, the spokesperson said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dar is in New York for engagements related to the high-level week of the 81st UN General Assembly, where he is holding bilateral meetings with counterparts from several countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The two foreign ministers reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening bilateral cooperation between Pakistan and Bahrain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They also agreed to maintain close contact and coordination at bilateral and multilateral forums.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
