The Sindh government has appointed five lawyers as assistant advocate generals with immediate effect to fill vacant positions in the provincial law officers\u2019 setup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to a notification issued by the Sindh Law, Parliamentary Affairs and Criminal Prosecution Department on Tuesday, the appointments were made with the approval of the chief minister under Rule 3-D of the Sindh Law Officers (Conditions of Service) Rules, 1940.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The newly appointed assistant advocate generals are Muhammad Shahid, Abdul Waheed, Salman Ahmed, Amjad Hussain Balhro and Saima Imdad Mangi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The notification said all five law officers would serve on terms and conditions admissible under the relevant rules and as notified by the Sindh government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The appointees have been directed to report for duty to the office of the Advocate General Sindh, where they will take up their assignments with immediate effect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The notification was issued by Sindh Law Secretary Saeed Ahmed Shaikh and is dated Sept. 23, 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Assistant advocate generals represent and assist the provincial government in legal proceedings before courts and work under the office of the Advocate General Sindh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
