A vehicle allegedly carrying a consignment of slingshots intended for the PTI\u2019s long march in Peshawar was seized in Islamabad on September 23.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Police sources said that law-enforcement agencies intercepted and impounded the vehicle and arrested the driver. The protest materials were also set ablaze by the law-enforcement personnel, the sources added. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The seizure comes amid preparations for the PTI\u2019s protest demonstration in Peshawar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to police sources, the consignment of slingshots was intended to be used during the protest. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
PTI\u2019s previous protest demonstrations have also witnessed incidents of violence, vandalism and law-and-order disturbances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
