{"id":16380,"date":"2026-09-24T05:57:49","date_gmt":"2026-09-24T05:57:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/paksouch.com\/?p=16380"},"modified":"2026-09-24T05:57:50","modified_gmt":"2026-09-24T05:57:50","slug":"saudi-air-strikes-leave-10-dead-14-injured-in-yemen","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/paksouch.com\/?p=16380","title":{"rendered":"Saudi air strikes leave 10 dead, 14 injured in Yemen"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">DUBAI: Saudi airstrikes killed 10 people and wounded 14 others over the past 24 hours, Houthi-affiliated media reported on Wednesday, as the group <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dawn.com\/news\/2032080\/yemens-houthis-to-target-us-interests-if-it-supports-saudi-led-strikes-report\">warned<\/a> they will attack US interests in the Middle East if Washington intervenes in the country\u2019s conflict to support Saudi Arabia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The threat of regional escalation comes after Houthis staged a lightning offensive in recent weeks to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dawn.com\/news\/2031722\">gain control<\/a> over Yemen\u2019s Red Sea coast and the strategic Bab al-Mandab strait.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A Houthi military adviser told <em>AFP<\/em> the group would strike American targets if the US attempts to unblock the narrow shipping lane.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Houthis threaten to attack US interests if Washington supports Riyadh-led strikes<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIf America dares to intervene militarily with its fleets or tries to take control of Bab al-Mandab, it is a red line for them and anyone else \u2026 we will fight over it,\u201d military adviser Abed Mohammed al-Thawr said. \u201cIf America gambles on supporting Saudi Arabia with airstrikes or air support \u2026 we will consider any American interests around us to be targets and we will not exclude anything,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Thawr also noted the group would \u201cclose Bab al-Mandab completely to American ships\u201d in the event of an intervention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The statements follow US reports that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Yemen\u2019s government requested military assistance from US President Donald Trump.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On the ground, violence continues to escalate. <em>Al-Masirah TV<\/em> reported on Wednesday that recent Saudi airstrikes resulted in dozens of casualties across two governorates. \u201cEight civilians were killed and 11 others wounded in Taiz, while two civilians were killed and three others wounded in Al-Jawf,\u201d the channel said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Houthis say Saudi Arabia has conducted hundreds of strikes in Yemen since a four-year truce collapsed in July.
