SAHIWAL: The Lahore High Court, Multan Bench, has admitted a writ petition challenging the detention of 24 PTI office bearers, leaders and workers from Sahiwal tehsil under the Maintenance of Public Order (MPO) Ordinance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The court directed Sahiwal Deputy Commissioner Samiullah Farooq to submit a report by Sept 24 (today).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to sources, around 47 PTI workers and office-bearers had been detained<\/a> and sent to Sahiwal Central Prison<\/a> for 30 days under Section 3 of the MPO Ordinance on the orders of the deputy commissioner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The petition was filed on behalf of 24 PTI leaders and workers, including Bahawal R.
