Punjab government has requested for services of Rangers for various districts of the province.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A formal request has been sent to the Federal Ministry of Interior for the deployment of Rangers’ contingents. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Rangers’ contingents will be deployed in Rawalpindi, Attock, Jhelum, and Mianwali until October 5, 2026. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Approval for this deployment was granted during the 59th meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Law and Order.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Request made for the deployment of three Rangers companies in Rawalpindi, five Rangers wings in Attock and one Rangers company each to be deployed in Jhelum and Mianwali.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Deployment to be carried out under Article 245 of the Constitution of Pakistan, Sections 4 and 5 of the Anti-Terrorism Act 1997, and Sections 7(b) and 10 of the Pakistan Rangers Ordinance 1959.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Correspondence sent to the Federal Ministry of Interior seeking security assistance following a request from the Punjab Police.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
